Learning to have faith like Abraham to obey and go even when not knowing where you are going. (Hebrews 11:8) And to continue to trust when where you end up is not where you thought it would be. Also having the faith to understand that sometimes obeying and going actually means to be still and stay where you are.

Laura's Bio.

I am the youngest of 3 girls. I have the blessing of bring raised in a Godly home. When I was 5, my family and I moved to Kenya, Africa to serve there with the IMB. We retuned to Texas during middle school. I graduated high school and went off to Texas Tech for my Bachelor degree in Animal Science. After graduation I served with the IMB's Hands On program in Lesotho Africa. After returning to the States and working for a couple of years, God gave me the opportunity to go with Pioneers to East Asia to serve there for 2 years and then to serve a year in New York City. Currently I am back in Texas, working and am part way through my Masters degree in Animal Breeding and Genetics.

In this episode Rachael shares her testimony of how God allowed misunderstanding to take everything she loved, every dream she had, so He could spend beautiful time with her and tend to those desperate and decaying roots. She explains what has happened in her life when she chose to be unseen.

If you have ever been to Florida you might have seen some of the beautiful giant Oak Trees with branches that touch the ground and reach for the sky. Just like these trees we can look beautiful on the outside while hiding the fact that our roots are rotting in despair. But what we keep hidden from the world God sees. He wants to heal this part of us before the next major hurricane comes and blows is over, exposing our roots for all to see.

Rachael's word for 2020 is-IMAGINE and God has shown her in so many ways how imagine has been such a big part of this season.

Summary from episode with Vada Scott- In these uncertain times we need to know that we can turn to someone who will never change...God doesn't change and His Word is full of promises we can stand on. I have seen His faithfulness over the years. I encourage others to seek His promises and then believe them. He is faithful.
