What a year is has been! Welcome back to this week's episode, and this week I have ro drink my own Kool Aid and confess to some craze dating beliefs I picked up without knowing it! My frazs confession just goes to show how dating tips are not just as straight forward as you'd think; we pick up the wildest habits without knowing it. Just like a physcial injury in life, the surgeons don't tell you there will be a clanking sound whenever it's cold. This is the same as the church, they tell only to put on the Armour of God. What does that mean? Well when you don't heal it's like going to dislocated my shoulder just to demonstrate to someone how painful it was to experience that hurt.

Some of you do this; hated your work, so you hate all your work and when asked you say "Well they wronged me at my 5 jobs," or another might have been abused by her 2 exes so she thinks all men are trash. This is not letting go of pain.

I love running in the snow in Norman Oklahoma, but I learned I need to buy warm clothes. I hate warm clothes! Why are they useful? This is the same for you! You're scared of letting go that it's better to retell the pain than let go! It's better to hear and feel that annoying clanking sound.

I want to motivate you today to understanding what putting on the armour of God is: It's like when I finally had to tell myself to buy warm clothes. For you it's declaring that you have been saved and healed from your trauma. It's also understanding the depth and width of the spiritual world; don't let your brain lie to you into believing you never healed. Scream. Lies right now.

Then the next thing I had to learn certain exercises to strengthen myself. For you this is learning personal boundaries. Learn emotional boundaries. Growth can sometimes be about healing and recovery, so I hope yall enjoy my short motivational speech right here. Stop speaking your pain; I'd never want to see my bone sticking out my armpit again; but we do this!

The best way you can begin showing up for yourself is by first forgiving yourself of your past. Forgiveness opens doors to better understanding that the people who hurt you are exactly like you. Forgiveness also helps you see that maybe you struggle with confidence because your self concept is based on others views. This is the first step to letting go and starting a fresh each say. This is how all female titans dress up for the day. New Year goals are messing with your mind! I mean think about it;these goals are based on the idea your are self aware, have no repressed emotions and live a consistent life free of headaches. What the pandemic taught me is the importance of setting emotional goals alongside your goals. What are your expectations vs reality. For instance we may have dating expectations;When I got licked in the face I was expecting he would ask me to be his girlfriend before licking my face. Yet what is the emotional cost to change because changing from single to a relationship has a cost. Or better yet when I wanted a career promotion,God put among people who made me see I hide my intelligence. It took being yelled at for studying in the United States to make me realize I hide my intelligence. See the expectation was I want a career upgrade, yet God gives us what we need and that is not to be sheepish. He was like but you hide so I will place you among people who will make you tired of hiding. Not only that but to accept that growth has an emotional cost. I always look at health goals from a holistic perspective;your body,ind and spirit. And this week I'm looking at what it means to be positive from a God-centered perspective. It's more about addressing Repressed emotions and how those emotions turn into copying mechanisms or belief. Why loose weight for the 3/4 Jean's when you really want to wear shorts. Positive thinking is about identifying how we limit ourselves even before we begi our journey. Sometimes it's obvious like the yearning mother who grew a phantom child. Sometimes it's clutter. And so this is the start of many conversations on how you can have a positive outlook on life.

This episode is a start of many co versations about forgiveness as a path to growth. And I started by talking about why forgiveness is an emotional muscle we all need in life. It will do away with seeing people as stagnant permanent characters and move into seeing people as fluid. Seeing people as fluid phenomenal beings who sometimes have off days. Having off days does not determine their lives. Then I dive into my fave topic;Your emotional roommates! Having the lack of confidence roommate and kicking them out is part of growth. Kicking pit familiar emotional roommates is part of accepting failures and uncertainties in life!
