  • #11 - New Year, New Games: Let's Get Hyped After All!

This week we rework the news... good week for that, as there isn't a lot! Is Halo the new Cyberpunk and is an Elder Scrolls TV series possible?

Our feature focuses on the games we are most excited for in 2021 from the ones that we can  supposedly confirm in the diary. A few disagreements on what looks good and what doesn't... Hogwarts Legacy... but also maybe a few games you may not be aware of. It's a new generation, let's get hyped after all!

    What we've been playing:
    Dead Space
    The Last Campfire
    Rimworld
    Hades

  • #10 - Game of the Year Special

This week we we focus purely on deciding our Game of the Year!

Through a completely and utterly original format (... hmm maybe not...) with group stages and a playoff system; think the Champions League/NFL meets video games.

There will be no arguments; there will be no disagreements... I think not.

  • #9 - Hype Train: Is It the End of the Line?!

This week's news is AGAIN dominated by Cyberpunk... will it ever end! But we also talk about the great free games rumoured to be coming to the Epic game store, and the recent Nintendo Indie Showcase.

Cyberpunk is all we've been playing and Ben has some specific areas of contention around game design... it's not all about bugs and graphics!

Our feature focuses on the hype train around games, and are we partly to blame for some of the outcomes we see? What do the future hype trains have in store for BOTW2, Metroid Prime 4 and Elden Ring next year?

We finish by creating our own hype train for next week's Game of the Year episode.... There are going to be a few disagreements and we can feel it already...!

  • #8 - Wake Up, Samurai. We Have A Console To Burn.

    Cyberpunk has finally been released!

Is it the new messiah of video games? The best game ever?... Or the greatest sham of a game ever released? Depends who you ask. One thing's for sure, it hasn't been the smoothest launch! We have a big old dedicated 'What We've Been Playing' section to probably the most controversial game of the year.

We also talk about all the new announcements and winners at The Game Awards 2020 in our feature.

  • #7 - Are All Microtransactions Bad?

It wouldn't be a podcast without disproportionate Cyberpunk chat... plus we talk The Game Awards and decent Netflix gaming documentaries.

After Eddy's review of FIFA 21, our feature this week focuses on microtransactions... the good, the bad, and the villainy.

    What we've been playing:
Warhammer Total War 2 - The Twisted & The Twilight (DLC)
    Immortals Fenyx Rising
    Maneater
    FIFA 21

    1 hr 44 min
  • #6 - What Is The Price Of Gaming?

This week we talk a lot about Cyberpunk... we promise, for the final time! Eddy has a controversial view on scalpers... PS5s are like AC Milan tickets, and scalping is a good thing? Plus, one PS5 game is called an abomination, and it may surprise you which one.

The feature this week focuses on the new price of computer games at £70. Are they worth it and what does this mean for the future of game development?

    What we've been playing:
    Subnautica
    Demon's Souls
    Spider Man: Miles Morales
    Surviving Mars

    2 hr 5 min
  • #5 - And The Console You Must Buy For Christmas Is...

This week we talk about the news surrounding the PS5 launch in the UK... and guess what, we've been playing one and we deep dive into how it feels and plays!

Our feature asks, if you had to buy one console this Christmas, and it's the only one you were going to buy this generation... which one should you buy?!

    What we've been playing:
Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord (again!)
    Demon's Souls
    Miles Morales
    Astro's Playroom

    1 hr 40 min
  • #4 - Are Mods Ruining Gaming?!

This week's feature focuses on mods, and modders... are they ruining gaming without us knowing?! Maybe there's something sinister behind it all...

In the news, the Xbox Series S/X launched, as well as the PS5 in the US... find out how well that went down. Also, did you know you can play PS5 games through your PS4? Plus, Elden Ring lives! Who'd have thunk it?

    What we've been playing:
    Subnautica
    Ori and the Blind Forest
    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord
