Your bestie is coquette, I dream of the soft life, your neighbor bought a Stanley cup to replace the Hydroflask. How we present ourselves and determine personal style (if you can even call it that) has become ever expansive to include more items and aspects of everyday life. Though it is not fair by any means, how you dress does matter, at least to the outside world - but we can make the conscious choice to prioritize cultivating our own perspective regardless of whether or not that aligns with our immediate environment, type beat.

social media is officially a public health crisis (but we knew) ! I've been feeling a lot of content fatigue lately and wanted to explore what might be at the end of this endless, overwhelming technicolor road. I feel like content bloat / over saturation is more or less inevitable if not already here especially with A.I. ANYHOW! Loneliness is a big deal! Would love your thoughts!

I've been hearing a lot about main character syndrome, main character energy, the what about me effect, pick me, etc. which I do think can bring about a lot of positive change for people. Though sometimes going so into ourselves we can lose site of all the joy there is in investing in others and also not putting so much pressure on ourselves to have an *exceptional* existence. Also I adore Esther Perel.

Guts by miss Olivia Rodrigo, I kid you not, has dominated my on repeat ever since it came out. I've been trying to figure out precisely WHY Guts and Sour seem to hit so hard and I've landed on that they hold the pain, joy, energy, and outrage that comes with the girlhood / young adult experience and wow! I'm a fan. Favorites are likely All American, Lacy, get him back, bad idea right, ballad of a homeschool girl, I know I named like half the project but that's the point. So refreshing. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Listen if there is anything I love to blame the end of the world on, it is social media. Do numbers actually matter? Why are we constantly putting ourselves into states of hyper vigilance? There are far too many ways to measure ourselves regardless of what you're into but information overload is real, and can be quite a doozy!

From fashion, film, visual art, to music, the starving artist is very much a thing. Santigold, Elena Velez etc. are, actual superstars struggling to make ends meet and they aren't alone-- they're just brave enough to talk about it. I don't think most artists go into the profession expecting to strike riches, but it's quite surprising just how difficult it is just to make minimum wage in some of the disciplines we hold so dear. Fame does not equal funded.

We love miss Lorde. So ready for Silver Moon still WAITING for precious metals. But yes, Lorde was quite literally the first artist who really changed my life and has most certainly shaped who I am today as an artist. I’m endlessly grateful for her ability to set public boundaries for the sake of her well-being and her art.
