Family, it is a love hate relationship. We often down play the influence the relationship we have with our family has on our mental well-being and our overall livelihood. In this episode we discuss the importance of family and why establishing a relationship with our family is of utmost importance.
Absolutely enjoyed the conversation had in this episode, definitely a must listen.
If you are reading this, its a sign to call a Family member you haven't spoke to in a while, trust me they will appreciate the gesture😊
(Exactly a year ago, G's & V's aired its first episode, and what a year it has been. THANK YOU for your relentless support and continuous feedback, which helps the podcast reach more people and help those who need to hear the conversations had here❤️.)
We are born from someone and live amongst people. "People" are an integral part of our lives and learning how to coexist with fellow human beings is an essential skill, in order to enhance your experience here on planet earth.
Believe it or not, we are a very selfish species and this is very evident in the way we conduct ourselves in relationships with other people. We get so fixated in making the relationship ideal for us so much so we never stop to think if the relationship is ideal for the other person too. We always clearly see when people in our lives disappoint us, but yet we don't seem to have that same clarity in seeing when we disappoint the people around us. We often don't even question how our conduct might affect the people around us.
Your friends need you to be good to them, just as much as you need them to be good to you.
Your family needs you to be good to them, just as much as you need them be good to you.
PEOPLE, need you to be good to them, just as much as you need them to be good to you.
In this episode, we try establish principles and practical things you can do to coexist and better your relationship with people.
TRUST ME, THIS IS A MUST LISTEN TO EPISODE.
To all the best friends that never became maid of honour/best men and all the lovers that never made it to the alter, its okay.
To all the best friends that believe they will be maid of honour/best men and all the lovers that believe they will make it to the alter, enjoy the ride, regardless of the outcome.
p.s Tinashe misused the word: "fonder" incase you get confused 🌝😄.
In our day to day lives we are constantly showing different sides of ourselves to different people, “acting” different roles and sometimes we get so used to pretending that it becomes hard to actually be yourself again and constantly “acting” a role becomes tiring and can very much harm our mental state.... but have you ever stopped and thought: why do i change face? is it wrong to change face and adapt to situation?
We are joined by Mpho-Mpho (Mammi Dearest), Sisanda, Tamary, Robb and Sanele
