This month's mix comes from (UK)North West stalwart DJ and producer Meecha, representing the EXE project.

EXE Project is a creative platform established in 2016 to showcase the versatile world of left-field electronic music from its various sub genres world wide.

Based out of Manchester England EXE curates music releases, events, DJ mixes, Transmission podcasts and videos.

Meecha has compiled a mix here which showcases the EXE Project sound, which includes some current and forthcoming releases on the label. Node is up first with some Gated beats and then (contrary to what's said on the recording) Meech takes over at around the 22 minute mark.

This fine month of May we are kicking off with a deep dive into the knowledgeable brain of Paul Wise AKA Placid. Owner of the 'We're going Deep' label and veteran DJ as well as a thoroughly top chap, Paul initially created 'We’re Going Deep' as an online community to focus on sharing the deeper cuts in acid, electro, house, techno and electronic genres. A long time associate of the I Love Acid crew too, Paul provides for us here a healthy selection of those aforementioned genres with an acid twist that'll put hairs on your chest. For April, we're stoked to welcome in the highly talented not even noticed.

They first gave us a taste of their style with their track 'Refractive' which came out on our compilation In the Key of G last year.

Second, they have constructed a set of six heavyweight tunes for their debut EP Muted Noises, with old skool nods, a range of moody atmospheric tracks, some hard as nails, others more ambient and reflective.

And so, thirdly, they have provided us a mix of the utmost quality. Brimming with beats, 140 bpm jungle and breaks, acidy drizzle, bass heavy cuts including some of the tracks from the EP, and opening with a little something else from them.

Stick around at the end for some extra fire forthcoming on Gated or out already and there to get stuck into.

Wielding an eclectic style, she expertly blends the genres so you can expect anything from techno, breakbeats, bass music of all kinds and even a sprinkling of trance.

She organizes the party FUSION at VENT, which has hosted artists from overseas such as Delta Funktionen, Deepbass and Stenny as well as PARNASSUS (at Jingumae Bonobo) which showcases the leftfield DJs in Japan.

In 2019, she made her Berlin debut at STAUB at ://about blank.
