Commitment to Christ means taking up your cross daily, giving up your hopes, dreams, possessions, even your very life if need be for the cause of Christ. Only if you willingly take up your cross may you be called His disciple (Luke 14:27). The reward is worth the price. Jesus followed His call of death to self (“Take up your cross and follow Me”) with the gift of life in Christ: “For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it” (Matthew 16:25-26).

Revelation Chapter 9 is the continuation of the trumpets blowing to announce God’s wrath and judgment. Angels blew four trumpets in the previous chapter, which were only the beginning of judgment. The next three trumpet blasts will bring about even worse judgment from God.

So many Christians are angry, resentful, irritated, vexed, prideful. Let us meditate on the word about Anger, Rage, Irritation and Resentment. If we meditate on the word concerning our habits, and observe to do it, God has promised we will prosper and be successful in overcoming them!! Joshua 1:8--

Chapter 8 begins with the opening of the seventh seal, immediately followed by a brief period of silence. The judgments which follow are associated with seven trumpets, given to seven angels, and these seven trumpets are themselves part of the seventh seal judgment. Prior to the sounding of these trumpets, an angel is seen with a censer—a metal container used to burn incense. In Scripture, incense is used as a physical symbol of prayers, which ascend towards heaven much like smoke. This same container is then filled with fire, again symbolizing judgment, and thrown down onto the earth (Revelation 8:1–5).
