Big news in the Guardians farm system on August 19 as Chase DeLauter gets promoted to Triple-A Columbus after a three homer game stretch despite 33 games played in 2024.

There have been a number of bats on the Lake County Captains showing some good early season signs of development, from Nate Furman's power, Guy Lipscomb's Kwan-lite abilities, and CJ Kayfus' dominance.Doug Nikhazy, Tommy Mace and Aaron Davenport are all showing signs of progress in Double-A as well, all part of Cleveland's 2021 draft class.

But when is the right time to promote prospects up a level and what goes into that?
