What does it really mean to guard your heart… without hardening it?
In this episode, I’m joined by Lauren Emerick for a deeply honest and grounding conversation about protection, discernment, and staying soft in a world that often teaches us to shut down. We talk about the difference between wisdom and fear, surrender and control, and how to remain open to God without building emotional walls that keep love out.
Lauren shares her powerful journey from years in New Age practices back to Christ, and how that return rebuilt her faith, marriage, motherhood, and identity from the inside out. Her story is one of transformation, restoration, and learning to trust the Holy Spirit again.
Lauren is a wife, mother, and Christian teacher devoted to helping women return to God, reorder their homes, and restore what’s been broken in their hearts, marriages, and identities. Her work is not about striving or perfection. It’s about becoming the woman God designed you to be, steady, softened, rooted, and Spirit-led.
Alongside her husband Justin, she co-leads Meet at the Well, a revival movement for marriage, family, and faith built on the belief that revival begins in the home.
If you’ve ever struggled with protecting your heart without closing it off, this episode will meet you right where you are.
