Guerreras

Welcome back back to Guerreras! We are back for a second season — follow and subscribe!

TW: Mental Health & Suicide prevention— today’s episode is on the importance of visibility of mental health awareness in our community. Plus, some resources at the end!

We’ve been gone for a while but only because we’re growing up! Listen to me as I explain and grow with you!

In today's episode we're joined by Abbey Nawrocki from Purdue University who will be talking to us about the importance of reproductive justice, and why Latinas should (need) to be involved in the movement! Check you her podcast "Well, now that's a problem"!

On today’s episode, I talk about the hypersexualization of Kiara Cervante (#ICEBae), hypersexualization as a weapon, and how Kiara’s viral fame will have a negative effect on any effort of trying to abolish ICE.

Today’s mini-episode is to share with you Kim Guerra’s passage “Mujeres somos Guerreras” which I found in the Instagram page @brownbadassbonita. Enjoy and follow them, as well as @guerreras_cr!

This episode covers why some folks would see speaking Spanish at the democratic presidential debates as a form of pandering. We also talk about how there is a form of internalized oppression Latinx inflict on themselves when they choose to not learn Spanish.

To give you an idea of what Guerreras will consist of! We will have an episode a week that is at least 40 minutes, and I will do my best to break down politics, Latinx politics, and feminism for you all. As well as to answer any questions you may have for me! Follow us on Instagram at @guerreras_cr
