This week on Guff Guff Pass we have the amazing trio from Nepal’s leading indie band- Phosphenes. Fresh off their new album and music video launch for ‘yestai nai hola’, the band has been a constant on most of our playlists. With an edgy twist to themselves in a landscape where rock and now hip hop has often ruled the masses, Phosphenes have set out on a mission to mesmerize the masses with their distinct tunes. On the episode we also managed to dive into various topics outside the wheelhouse of traditional conversations about music and got to hear some unique perspectives from the artists. All in all an amazing episode 81 with lots to initiate more conversations from and more to appreciate Nepal’s rising indie band.

We are ecstatic to have Goofy aka Pramod Shrestha aka the OG motorcycle rider on Guff Guff Pass. An episode that has been a long time coming and after several delays we finally did it. Goofy as he is lovingly known by all, shares a common root with us as he too spent a portion of his childhood in the missionary schools of Darjeeling ie Mount Hermon School. Besides that Pramod Shrestha has been a motorcycle enthusiast forever and a professional moto tour rider for more than two decades. His motorcycling accomplishments include a record-breaking run from East end to the Western end of Nepal within 24 hours and his countless rides through every nook and corner in the Indian subcontinent. This one was fun and hope you guys enjoy it as much.

Guff guff pass is finally here to kick off 2022 amidst yet another wave of the pandemic. After a major setback caused by it, we’re back again and on this episode we share some of our own experiences. With that we also end our run at the current studio where we’ve had some good sessions over the past year or so. We hope this release brings some sort of regularity to a not so regular environment at the moment for our viewers. This episode of Guff Guff Pass has to be one of our funniest experiences with Manav Joshi, a 13 year old who lives with cerebral palsy but doesn’t let it stop him from living life to its fullest. Together with his entrusted trainer cum friend Aakash, who’s been on the podcast before, they make a hell of a duo, training and having a lot of fun together. Manav sheds some light on his condition but even more on his life as a teenager who has been homeschooling recently after his realization of the materialistic environment at school, which the kid is evidently not so fond of. Lend your ear as we watch in awe, this amazing kid who constantly inspires us on a daily basis and hope it does the same for you too.

This week on Guff Guff Pass we have with us Saprina Shrestha aka Sapfit a certified trainer and fitness enthusiast who is an integral part of team The Pump. In this episode we wade through the mirky waters of fitness and what it has come to mean to the average joe with a major role to be played by modern products and cosmetic shortcuts. The conversation also dives into certain stains that exist more intensely in our close knit cultures and how we view those occurrences. Holy s***! We got Uniq Poet in the building! One of Nepal’s most prolific Rappers with a hoard of bangers under his belt. Utsaha Joshi aka Uniq Poet shared his humble beginnings as a struggling artist trying to make his music pop through various rudimentary platforms in Nepal’s online media that seemed to be finding their own foothold amidst the online media boom of the early 2010’s. We also got a peek into the expansive mind of this elusive artist as he casually dropped some bars mid conversation. We were glad to have him on and share a platform where one could delve deeper into the mind of an artist which very few care to venture into these days. We talked about spirituality, the hoard of perceptions that follow it and how he has been able to use it for his well being. Besides the more intense topics we also had hilarious conversations regarding film, our common roots etc all the while keeping things interesting for us and hopefully for you too. A charismatic and passionate human who has been raising his voice against the bureaucratic horse s*** along with the global chain effect that lead to the downfall of one of Nepal’s most lucrative and basically harmless industry. Guff Guff Pass has always been a home for discussions that primarily include the more intrusive nature of governance and the demonization of this herb has been one of the ages.
