Justifying faith has components including, agreement to the truth of the divine revelation, agreement with the authority of God's testimony, heartfelt agreement of the will and, trust in God's character, unreserved surrender of the will to his guidance, and dependence on His merits for salvation. This week we look at some of the corresponding stories in the Old Testament to the labels in Heb 11:33 like by faith "weakness were made strong" "became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight" "women received their dead by resurrection" and finally "and others were tortured, not accepting their release, so that they might obtain a better resurrection".
