Without a doubt some of the most difficult cases we handle are those involving children. A heart transplant at the age of thirteen is scary, but it went well. Florida's PIP, (P – I – P) personal injury protection. It’s a mandatory part of your auto policy in the state of Florida. At one point it meant, if you were injured in an auto accident you could count on $10,000 worth of coverage for your medical bills and or your lost wages. It isn't any longer.

Now in order for your PIP to be used to pay your medical bills, your injuries have to be declared as an emergency. You have to have sought emergency treatment at the outset of injuries. If you go to the emergency room it's pretty hard for an insurance company to argue that you didn't have an emergency medical condition. Road Rage, you hear about it all the time but you never think that it will happen to you. We have seen so many examples of road rage lately. It's becoming a terrible phenomenon throughout the United States and oddly enough, it seems to be quite prevalent here in Florida. I spend a lot of time on the road and I don't like seeing people cut me off. I don't like seeing people squeeze in to the bit of area that I leave between my car and the car in front of me in order to be safe. But, I don't want to be a victim of road rage. When I’m behind the wheel it's more important that I don't let my emotions get control of me and my car creating a problem on the road. Creating a problem where someone might get hurt. Recently in our law office, we had a case involving road rage that resulted in the death of one of the two individuals involved in the road rage incident.
