How to Use a Positive Relaxing Body Scan Meditation for Beginners

The stress of everyday tasks can take a toll on your body.  By using a relaxing body scan meditation in your daily routine can ease tensions and allow your mind room to breathe.  You can use a body scan at any time during your day.  Start by grounding and centering your breath.  Inhale and exhale a few times until you find a natural breathing pattern.

Focus your energy on your feet and breathe in positivity. On the exhale, release any tension that is lingering in your feet. Repeat this exercise as you work your way up your body all the way to your head. If an area still feels tight, take a moment to breathe into that area to allow everything to release.


Follow this Guided Meditation for Relaxation and Inner Peace

This guided meditation for deep relaxation will take you on a journey within your mind. You will start by breathing in deeply to feel grounded to the earth. From there, you will scan over your body allow any tension or stress to melt away. You will go to a warm sunny beach where you hear children’s laughter in the distance as they build sandcastles. Embrace the laughter as you are reminded of your own inner child. You will walk into the salty ocean water and let the waves wash over you, cleansing any negativity away.
