Guided Meditation on Pure Awareness

In this meditation on pure awareness, Bentinho guides us to see how we can shift our attention from being lost in worldly distractions to a state of pure awareness. He explains that there are two primary ways to use our attention: one is to be absorbed in whatever perceptions, sensations, or thoughts arise, which often leads to mental descriptions and conceptualizations; the other is to be aware of the fact that we are aware, recognizing the essence of being.

Bentinho explains that by pausing for a few seconds and interrupting the absorption of the mind in external objects, we can bring our attention back to its essence. Through repeated practice of self-recognition, you can begin to see the world as a projection of the imagination and dissolve the belief in an external reality separate from awareness. Ultimately, a sense of non-duality and unity is realized, where all things are recognized as the one being.

Meeting God and the truth halfway requires momentarily stopping the dreaming and being fully awake to the extended hand of the Creator, who is always there for those who have forgotten their own divine nature.
