Jacob Hansen last interviewed with me on April 12, 2020, when he was 17 years old and an unchosen participant, like all of us, during the time of the unprecedented pandemic. Fast forward nearly two years later as we discuss where Jacob is in his life journey and if he still feels like he chose the best path.

I want all of you to keep in mind what was true for him back then. Jacob shared with all of us that he knew in his heart at the young age of four that he wanted to serve his country. Therefore, it probably will not come as a surprise that he would decide, without hesitation, to take the less traditional path of leaving high school during his senior year to pursue a career in the United States Army.
