Janique 'Nani' Rivera comes on the show just in time for Brest Cancer Awareness month. We talk about a multitude of issues including her perspective as a Black Female Law Enforcement officer on use of force issues, how she's perceived as a cop, the "blue wall of silence", and Killing of Ma'Khia Bryant.
We then talk about her choice to begin firearms instruction. We discuss what makes her qualified to teach and what systems she has to ensure her teaching is above par. We also discuss the issue of older men in the industry targeting young women instructors with excessive criticism.
Lastly we dive into her battle with stage 4 cancer. She talks about her challenges with dealing with 3 forms of cancer( Breast, Lung, Brain) and the toll that's taken on her and her family.
