ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਬੇਮੁਹਤਾਜੁ ॥

Sathigur Maeraa Baemuhathaaj ||

My True Guru, is not dependent on any one.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਚਾ ਸਾਜੁ ॥

Sathigur Maerae Sachaa Saaj ||

My Guru is truly embellished.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਭਸ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ॥

Sathigur Maeraa Sabhas Kaa Dhaathaa ||

My True Guru is the giver of all.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ॥੧॥

Sathigur Maeraa Purakh Bidhhaathaa ||1||

The True Guru is my Creator Lord.

ਗੁਰ ਜੈਸਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋ ਦੇਵ ॥

Gur Jaisaa Naahee Ko Dhaev ||

There is no deity equal to my Guru.

ਜਿਸੁ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਭਾਗੁ ਸੁ ਲਾਗਾ ਸੇਵ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Whosoever has good destiny recorded on his brow; he alone applies himself to the Guru's service. Pause.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਰਬ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੈ ॥

My True Guru sustains all.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਰਿ ਜੀਵਾਲੈ ॥

Sathigur Maeraa Maar Jeevaalai ||

My True Guru slays and revives the mortal.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥

Sathigur Maerae Kee Vaddiaaee ||

The glory of my True Guru,

ਪ੍ਰਗਟੁ ਭਈ ਹੈ ਸਭਨੀ ਥਾਈ ॥੨॥

Pragatt Bhee Hai Sabhanee Thhaaee ||2||

has become manifest in all the places.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਤਾਣੁ ਨਿਤਾਣੁ ॥

Sathigur Maeraa Thaan Nithaan ||

My True Guru is the power of the powerless.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਘਰਿ ਦੀਬਾਣੁ ॥

Sathigur Maeraa Ghar Dheebaan ||

My True Guru is my home and my court.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਹਉ ਸਦ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਇਆ ॥

Sathigur Kai Ho Sadh Bal Jaaeiaa ||

I am ever a sacrifice unto my True Guru,

ਪ੍ਰਗਟੁ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਕਰਿ ਦਿਖਲਾਇਆ ॥੩॥

Pragatt Maarag Jin Kar Dhikhalaaeiaa ||3||

who has obviously shown me the path.

ਜਿਨਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਉ ਨ ਬਿਆਪੈ ॥

Jin Gur Saeviaa This Bho N Biaapai ||

He, who serves the Guru; him fear overtakes not.

ਜਿਨਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਤਿਸੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਨ ਸੰਤਾਪੈ ॥

Jin Gur Saeviaa This Dhukh N Santhaapai ||

He, who serves his Guru; him pain afflicts not.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋਧੇ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਬੇਦ ॥

Naanak Sodhhae Sinmrith Baedh ||

Nanak has scrutinized the Vedas and Simritis.

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗੁਰ ਨਾਹੀ ਭੇਦ ॥੪॥੧੧॥੨੪॥

Between the Transcendent Lord and the Guru, There is no difference.
