God has called us out to be His people. We were once not His people, but through the work of Chris we have been forgiven of our sin and set apart for God. Through baptism, we have entered this life and have been admitted into the new covenant of which Jesus Christ is the Mediator. It is through Jesus we have new life. It is the Hly Spirit that empowers us to fully live out our faith. It is the work of God that calls us to true love, as He has first loved us. Today we meet, as generations before us have met, to renew the covenant that binds us to God. Let us make this covenant of God our own.
