Holy cow is this episode a barrel of fun. Grinder prepare for a lot of laughs and a few minutes of seriousness with Chad Resler and Dante Alexander. They came by to hang out and bullshit for a  bit and being the music lovers we are turned into a sort of sudo music review. Jacob Odekirk is a U.S. military combat veteran and avid outdoors-man from St. Maries. He has a masters degree in environmental science and works in industrial environmental compliance. He came in today to chat with me about his first job working at a high-end taxidermy shop, joining the Marine Corps. after high school, transferring credits from his military training and attending college through the G.I. bill after his service. Working as a wild life technician for the U.S. Forest Service after college and eventually landing in his career now. We also talked about growing up hunting, hiking and all things outdoors with his brothers, how technology has changed the way kids interact and the added value of tech such as GPS and land use maps. Brady Campbell is a professional photographer of around 23 years and an artist. Brady stopped in to help me test some new recording gear and tell us the story of how he got into the photo business. James Tennery is the manager of Arrow Point Resort in Coeur d'Alene Idaho. Today he came in to talk about growing up in Sacramento, CA and starting of in the working world as a tile setter working for his girlfriends dad while also working catering and restaurant jobs for his friends families' business. James also studied photo journalism in college and has done a lot of side work as a photographer with a lot of interesting things in his portfolio. After a short stint in the Marine Corps, hr decided hospitality was best suited to his personality and people skills and has worked managing numerous resorts in Napa, a campground in Tahoe through Covid and moved to Idaho to care for his dad. From playing Rugby till he was 35, running a restaurant for a short time with a friend, being a single dad, shooting photos for The Suicide Girls and musicians in Tahoe, pondering the L.A. paparazzi scene and dealing with celebrities on vacation, James has quite a story to tell.

Chad Resler is a former production manager for a firetruck manufacturer, metal worker and now is a business owner doing rough landscaping, light terra-forming and construction prep. Today we talk about his growing up in central and northern California. Meeting his wife and starting a family very young with no family support while living in some rough neighborhoods. His ultimate home audio system and vinyl obsession. Starting his career as a production manager and metal worker and the pitfalls of California government contracts. Having a heart attack at the age of 36 with no insurance. Losing his house and everything during the 2008 housing crash and starting over. Finding out he has a genetic kidney disease and dealing with COVID. Night fishing in a snow storm for trophy brown trout, his love of wild life photography, twerking in nature (no that's not a typo) and his recent 7000 mile, 45 day RV trip with his wife through the rocky mountains.
