FIRST.

What do we actually SERVE of VALUE to others? What SUBSTANCE do we bring to the world? What is our relationship to the concept of SERVICE?

Developing ourselves to offer something of unique substance and value to other people is almost NON EXISTENT in today’s world.  Young people are bombarded by false narratives that forge them into moulds fit for them to shine toward name fame and glory - but do they ever take the time to truly develop themselves and GIVE SOMETHING SELFLESSLY to other people?   So rare.

SERVICE? Serve WHO?   Serve WHAT?   What FOR?

When there’s no nation, common people nor collective values enough to BE SERVED - how can we develop true SERVICE?

The truth is, the system we live in has become the NEW EARTH - the NEW ground upon which we stand - within which we develop and commercialize ourselves to gain access to resources - but this is a constructed system.  The REAL POWER of human interaction and commerce is hijacked in such a system - through in the visages of PHILANTHROPY and tax deductible FOUNDATIONS.

The bible warned against such an attitude of falsified virtues - “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law”.

Both men and women are struggling with this disconnection from LIFE - the GOD POWER that sustains everything.  A deep bitterness and hate has been brewed between them that leads both men and women to turn to the SYSTEM for purpose and a sense of stability, which in the end never satisfies the depth of their yearning for PEACE and HARMONY between them.

And the story goes on like this.

SECOND.

The added asphyxiation of MANDATORY FACE MASKS has arrived.  As most people are just trying to adapt and avoid problems - others are heating up at what they see as increased authoritarian and unlawful imposition upon the public space.

In any case, the ongoing situation is a crucial opportunity to FOCUS OUR ENERGY and catalyze the productive changes we wish to see in our lives.  There is no point in fighting a narrative that cannot be stopped - so best we hone what we wish to accomplish, utilize the INTELLIGENCE that actually DOES EXIST behind the LOCKDOWN protocols, and HUNKER DOWN...

The rest is up to the MASTERS.

Where is to be found TRUE PEACE and PURPOSE if not embedded within a GREATER WILL than one’s limited self?   

" But what then is God’s will for me? How do I know? "

How do we accomplish the will of God in 2020? This is the modern world!

Must we withdraw and renounce the material world? Is this what spirituality is really about? Is there really a PROBLEM with money?!

Some of us chase money, others judge money as the “root of all evil.” There seems to be an irreconcilable conflict between spirituality and materialism, and as they say, you cannot serve two Masters!

But didn’t God CREATE money, just as he created everything?

How to reconcile this split in us? Can we go beyond the dualistic mind of GOOD and BAD and truly SEE how the pieces fit together?

What drives us to worship money, what has made it our God? What makes us a slave to money? What’s the INSECURITY we carry inside that we’re trying to patch? Can money truly secure us?  Where else then can we find REAL security? What fundamental disease drives our every action, and is there a way to HEAL?

People don’t know how the body really works, what the human body is really for. To understand, it begins with the fundamental questions:  Who am I?  Where am I?  What is this world?  What does it mean to be a human being?

BEING HUMAN means you have a HUMAN BODY!  But what’s our relationship to the human body?  How do we connect with this most fundamental part of ourselves?

Then when we observe society, what do we see?

We see madness!  The USE and ABUSE of the human body for mere PLEASURE and ENJOYMENT like it’s a TOY.  This QUEST for pleasure in its myriad forms reveals a telling phenomenon - that we are really just trying to AVOID pain at any cost. This profound avoidance of PAIN ITSELF is the true motor behind our every action!

WHAT IS PUSHING US TO OBSESS LIKE THIS?  Ceaselessly looking for pleasure, for sensations... How have we become so desperate in our pursuits - so VAPID in value?

Is pleasure truly the greatest height of life?  There must be something MORE!  What is the PURPOSE of a human being and what is the GOAL of our human lives?

Why do we need something outside ourselves to feel alive when we’re already clearing LIVING? 

Why don’t we feel LIFE itself on a daily basis? Why are we so tense and desensitized?

REALLY?

What is this new historical narrative that’s being written?  HOW DO WE FIND PEACE within this rapidly evolving storyline? How do we maintain a healthy focus and balance in ourselves and our personal lives, to serve those closest to us and maintain our common duties - without flying off the deep end, either consumed in fear of the “deadly virus” or accumulating bitterness and rage towards the illogical DOUBLETHINK being heaped upon us?

Are the rulers truly EVIL?

It’s far too easy to name blame and shame the culprits of a supposedly sinister plan without having the slightest INTELLIGENCE to consider where these people are actually coming from - what they TRULY BELIEVE.

Have you ever asked yourself “what genuine problems are the rulers seeking to resolve?”

Before we go prattling on about the evil and incompetent rulers who are locking down our world it would be wise to consider the truth of our own human condition - how profound our unconscious world really is - what we are MOST AFRAID OF and WHY.

This is what a GENUINE PRACTISE OF YOGA is really about - and it’s available at ALL TIMES to ALL PEOPLE.  The opportunity to plunge headlong into OURSELVES to resolve the great enigmas piling up around us.  The chance to discern and develop stability and strength that can house and maintain our CORE BELIEFS without being swayed by seductive external narratives.  The task of forging a true TEMPLE within which to live starts with ourselves - by learning to find REST in the temple of our own Human Bodies.

LOSE YOURSELF TO FIND YOURSELF

From the earliest age we’re set on building our character based upon who we THINK WE ARE.  We begin meticulously weaving the fabric of our identities based on models and icons set before us through mainstream media.

But do we ever truly get a chance to appreciate who WE REALLY ARE before the adult world swallows us up? 

The truth is everyone who constructs an identity is plagued with the same modern malaises - because the great unknown of “WHO AM I REALLY” remains thick and looming between the balance of our worldly pursuits.

But WHY do we obsess over the superficial STARDOM of the paths we pursue, and why do we care so much about what others think?

With no genuine guidance on The Path of Life, young ones have no choice but to pitch themselves headlong into a character that’s meant to keep them afloat in the world - but it comes at the cost of developing SOUL POWER.

Once the game picks up speed, ANY IDENTITY OTHER THAN WHO YOU ARE becomes a JAIL UNTO ITSELF - and this jail needs to be maintained!  If the people find out the jail’s not REAL - that it’s not really YOU - they will ruthlessly DESTROY IT along with the flimsy persona it contains.  To your average person this means DEATH.

IS THERE ANOTHER WAY?

As BOB G joined them in the downtown core - the social upheaval and protest felt more like a street party / music concert / rave - than a focalized PROTEST!  Boomboxes and megaphones blasted from all directions as protestors looked more keen on getting LAID and getting LIMELIGHT than boosting any kind of SELFLESS CAUSE.

After 3 MONTHS indoors for LOCKDOWN… What better way to discharge SEXUAL ENERGY than a fully-ordained racial protest.

This is not to criticize the CORE issues of the protests!  But it’s clear as day that the majority of protestors are merely PRODDED and need somewhere to expel their energy.  Very few EMBODY THE CHANGE they are meant to be ushering in.  It’s aggressive, unstrategic, MESSY...

In a blatant cultural ethos of GIMME GIMME NOW, so idiosyncratic of millennials - the recent events highlight a deeply misguided beast - acting out on any stimulus to discharge its tensions - NO MATTER THE CAUSE.

The real issue is a LACK OF MASTERY OVER SEXUAL ENERGY itself.

Few people know how to manage their sexual energy.  When we do learn to ride the FLOW of the seasons NATURALLY we enjoy a deep and steady current of LIFE that allows us to FOCUS our POWER and catalyze our life-energy solely towards our GOALS.

WHY NOBODY TALKS ABOUT THIS?

If you want to FOCALIZE your ENERGY and gain a genuine KNOWLEDGE of SELF it starts with getting HONEST and asking GENUINE QUESTIONS from where you’re really at - questions that pierce through the common social and spiritual narratives of the times.

Rare are those who penetrate through the smorgasbord models of spirituality to seek the TRUE KNOWLEDGE of SELF that lies beyond.  Such an approach to life comes with no users manual - save your own HUMAN BODY - and requires the guidance of a genuine teacher.

It’s rare to find a teacher or mentor who GENUINELY represents the qualities you seek to develop.  These days we’re swamped by branding campaigns that put athletes and superstars at the peak of their fame in front of our hungry eyes - but HOW DO THESE PEOPLE EVER really teach us anything?

HOW CAN WE FIND A REAL TEACHER?

The complexity of the game only intensifies, as we find our peeps running off into careers and couples.  What about the genuine hunger for the GAME OF LIFE ITSELF?  Where are the true paths of righteousness?  Do we have to become MONKS!?  Where are the old ways of learning MASTERY in the ART OF LIFE?  Where are the teachers, mentors, gurus, sifus…?

If we’re ruthlessly honest, everything we see around us leads to destruction and disease - THERE’S GOTTA BE MORE TO LIFE THAN THIS!

Going from ZERO to HERO means being flat HONEST with ourselves - starting with how we’ve come up in our lives - so we can better appreciate and develop our real skills and aspirations.  We have to return to the SUBSTRATE of who we are if we wish to begin on the organic path forward - FROM THE ZERO POINT - towards our TRUE SELVES.

As we’ve spoken about often in this series, this is the only way to tap the INHERENT VALUE we possess and develop it to its fullest!

Instead of chasing phony girls, gangsters, rap stars or athletes, take the TIME to develop yourself and seek the genuine guidance and mentorship you require to FULLY REALIZE your potential.

Will you ask for help and make yourself AVAILABLE to GENUINE GUIDANCE?  Can you humble yourself enough to face an elder with a clear and honest YEARNING TO LEARN?

Who are the new gods and demi-gods of our modern world? How does modern mythology influence our lives? How do movies impact us & how have the stories changed in our times? 

Mythology has always been an ESSENTIAL ELEMENT to human existence, and today old stories of gods and ancestors have given way to movies and TV series - our heroes now come from Star Wars and Game of Thrones!  Add to this the real-life gods and demi-gods of the times like Beyonce & Jay-Z, Elon Musk, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Michael Jordan - people whose lives we follow and even worship. 

The stories of mythology are meant to symbolize and SUPPORT OUR OWN HERO’S JOURNEY. But today even the most robust and deeply entrenched mythological narratives of the past - like the HERO’S JOURNEY - have become polluted and altered to befit a new generation of consumers.

Hollywood’s agenda is omnipresent in our culture, permeating all aspects of society. The ancient arts of storytelling have been diluted into predictable and repetitive political narratives.

BUT WHAT HAPPENED TO THE HERO’S JOURNEY?  WHY HAS IT BEEN DESECRATED?

Once upon a time society needed HEROES - people to go fight wars and to build the nations - but what they need now more than ever is SIMPS, whimps, deluded consumers who merely BELIEVE and never ACHIEVE.

SOCIETY TODAY NO LONGER WANTS TO BREED HEROES!

They ruined Star Wars for this very purpose - and was illustrated perfectly.  The female lead, Rey, doesn’t need a teacher and doesn’t even need to train because she is ALREADY SUPERIOR without even trying!

CONSIDER What this is teaching the kids…  This is a mindset that breeds “STAY HOME - you’re ALREADY A HERO!”  You don’t need to try for SUCCESS - name, fame and glory are yours by birthright.

THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DAMAGING NARRATIVE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE.

HOW will they transcend these stories?  How will they embark upon THEIR JOURNEY?  How will they find the necessary guidance in order to have the VERY BEST CHANCE OF SUCCEEDING IN REAL LIFE?

Unless the youth WAKE UP from the bespelling narratives they’re being spoon-fed by hollywood - it is not hard to imagine if there will be ANY HEROES LEFT in 2020 and beyond.
