Freedom within Limits is a book that I created around the idea of writing haiku.It is incredible how 3 lines and 17 syllables can give you an infinite amount of material to write with, and I figured that was the lesson. Sometimes, the best things in life have limits. Whether it is a marathon race or a piece of pie, even those things that are limitless hold some boundaries. By understanding those limits and being aware of our own shortfalls, we can truly create a life for ourselves. In Freedom within Limits we look at the lessons learned from haiku writing exercises, and examine the limitations we face throughout our lives – whether real or imagined – using simple haiku as a teaching aid.

So today we are going to be talking about the central myth of the Gye-Nyame tribe. Its called The Trials of Gye, and it tells the story of how our tribal hero became a great warrior. It is time for you to learn why Gye is the central hero figure of our tribe. And it is not just because he was believed to be the first to harness the axe' force, but because he overcame adversity in challenging circumstances, and also stood up for what he believed was right. Let’s find out how.
