The construction industry as a whole is pretty bad at communication.  This problem is not exclusive to homeowners trying to get a project done.  Even the contractors and sub-contractors are notoriously bad at communication.  This makes projects loom well after deadlines, creates customer service nightmares and overall gives the industry a bad reputation.

One piece of this communication mess is when a contractor needs to find a qualified, competent and available sub-contractor.  Typically this would be done with endless phone calls and text messages.  Now, with GYLD, it can be done with the push of a button.

The same goes for sub-contractors looking to fill their calendar with jobs.  Instead of calling around, now they can respond to the posts.
