Midknight Robin reacts to the Men's Program Committee has chosen three gymnasts from the United States national team to compete at the 2017 Cottbus World Cup, November 23-27 in Cottbus, Germany. The team will consist of 2017 U.S. horizontal bar and still rings champion Marvin Kimble, 2017 U.S. all-around silver medalist Allan Bower, and 2017 U.S. horizontal bar silver medalist Colin Van Wicklen. The 2012 Olympic Gold medalist, McKayla Maroney, said she was sexually abused by the same team doctor who is already facing criminal charges for molesting other gymnasts.

In response of the current leadership of USA Gymnastics failed in its responsibility to protect child athletes from sexual predators and failed to alert authorities to reports of sexual abuse as required by law. Manly, Stewart, and Finaldi have started a petition to change USA Gymnastics leadership.
