Stuart Hale is a former sniper who lost his leg during a mine strike incident in Kajaki, Helmand Province on the 6th September 2006 – the “Day of Days”, during which several others were wounded and one solider was killed - Mark Wright, posthumously awarded the George Cross. In 2008, Stuart became the first amputee to return to the front line in Afghanistan.
