Listen Later

Pres Monson said, “It is not enough to want to make the effort and to say we’ll make the effort. We must actually make the effort. It’s in the doing, not just the thinking, that we accomplish our goals.”

One of my affirmations includes, “I will do something today that my future self will be proud of.”

The H = Hasten to Heed the Lord's promptings. I know first hand how hard it can be to heed promptings after betrayal or after D day because the pain can feel so crushing and debilitating sometimes, but heeding promptings is not for others benefits it's for our own. It builds confidence in ourselves as we do those things the Lord prompts us to do for ourselves or for others, because in the process we learn more about who we are and what we are capable of.
