The book of Habakkuk is unique in that the prophet takes his concerns about Juday to God. This is the only book of prophecy in which this is true.
God told Habakkuk that He would use the Chaldeans to punish Judah for their sin.
Habakkuk 2: God pronounces five woes on the Chaldeans
Habakkuk 2:6-8 - because of human bloodshed and violence to the land
Habakkuk 2:9-11 - because they got evil gain for their house
Habakkuk 2:12-14 - because they built a city with bloodshed
Habakkuk 2:15-17 - because they made their neighbors drunk
Habakkuk 2:18-19 - because of their idolatry
Psalms 11:4 - The Lord is in His holy temple.
Habakkuk 3: Habakkuk prays to God
Habakkuk pleads for mercy from God in His wrath.
II Timothy 1:16-17 - Paul offered a similar prayer on behalf of Onesiphorus
Habakkuk 3:18-19 - Habakkuk rejoices in the Lord, even though disaster was coming.
