Creating a Morning Routine saved my anxiety and “controlling” personality.

When life is out of whack, more than the average person, I get high anxiety. So, I needed a way to ease into each day, create a guideline plan, because lets be real life doesn’t go as planned, and be consistent with this each day. Back in 2018 I became a MORNING PERSON and I never looked back.

Today we are catching up on what’s been going on in my little world. Events, travel and sickies (again) But, I wanted to talk to you all about my morning routine, in hopes it helps you create one for yourselves as well.

Benefits of having a morning routine

• Feeling more in control of your schedule

• Being able to better prioritize your time

• Engaging purposefully with each task, rather than reacting to the demands of the day

• Anticipating what lies ahead and being better equipped to cope with change

• Reinforcing that you are capable, in-control, and centered as you navigate the tasks ahead

• Feeling more productive, which can give you a sense of completion, self-efficacy, and pride in your accomplishments

• Make it easier to adopt more healthy habits long-term

1. Maintain a fixed bedtime and waking time

2. Plan how much time you'll need

3.  Don't hit snooze

4. Get out of bed

5. Avoid your phone

6. Try self-affirmation

7. Drink some water
