This is the first of three 2-hour shows that highlight the best of drum & bass from 2017! I used to love countdown media as the year came to a close, then I found it annoying and repetitive--a chance for advertising under the guise of a fun clip-show. Now, I've come full circle, and I enjoy a good countdown of the best of the best of the whole year. Of the near-1000 new dnb songs that I featured on the air over the past year, these three shows (165, 166, and 167) represent my favorite tunes. I've narrowed the list down to about 250, which is still too many for only six hours.

This week I feature the Jump Up, hip-hop influenced, and reggae/ragga sub-genres of dnb. Because I'm a die-hard junglist, it was hard to eliminate tunes, these made for a fun show, and I've enjoyed my personal listening-back session this week. I hope you enjoy it too!
