At Hamilton, Dave’s friend Nathaniel Hurd was an atheist. So it came as a shock a few years after college to learn that Nathaniel had become a devout Catholic. This week Dave asks Nathaniel about his journey of faith, discusses how it has effected their friendship, and what—if any—impact it has on Nathaniel’s work as a Senior Policy Advisor for the US Helsinki Commission.

It took a lot of courage for Céline Geiger to pack up the car and drive across country to pursue her dream. This week she joins the show to share how she gained that courage at Hamilton College. Last week John Werner talked about a passion for understanding the history of Hamilton College. That passion inspired him to create history tours of the campus when he was a student. This week he returns to share some historical tidbits about the school and some of its key figures. We also give an update on John’s idea to bring together the eleven NESCAC schools to help solve some of the problems facing our society.
