Haikoup

In this episode, I present the second part of  last week's accountable power episode. In this episode: I discuss different ways England can reimagine its future. I muse on some different systems of government we could have: Republic, democratic, anarcho-syndicalist? What we should focus on and England's eternal expansionism (without ever keeping our own affairs in order).

In this episode I talk about the strong propaganda needed to maintain a parasitic family such as the Royals. Topics include: Her Nazi links, her sons and their acquaintances with well known predators, the rigid class system she preserves, her secret cousins that sound like a subplot to shutter island, republicanism (the English kind) and of course her many crimes and immoral acts!

It's a JUBILEE BONANZA!

I analyze how thinkers like Aristotle, John Stuart Mill and Alexis de Tocqueville thought that majority rule would problematize democracy.

I also place the idea of the 'tyranny of the majority' in a modern context to answer a central question: How democratic is modern democracy when the populace is overcome with fear, emotion and hysteria?

In this Addendum episode I will be looking at some ideas, people and current affairs that I missed in my 'Russia: The Men Behind the Curtain' documentary.

I will be discussing Navalny, Digital democracy & the recent military escalation on the border of Ukraine and Russia.

Please note this was recorded in February 2022, so whilst the Navalny parts (75% of the episode) are still relevant, a lot more happened in Ukraine than I could comprehend. So apologies for some of it being dated.

The Men Behind the Curtain is a documentary that looks at the figures behind the scenes of Russian Politics.

This documentary looks at the history of power and influence in Russia, how certain figures came to shape contemporary Russia and how the Russian establishment has always been shaped by the radicals, dissidents and renegades on the fringes of Russian society.  Key figures I look at in the documentary: Rasputin, Vladislav Surkov, Ivan Ilyin, Alexandr Dugin & Eduard Limonov.

**Apologies for sections of the podcast that have poor audio quality. This was filmed in many hotel rooms, and it wasn't easy to equalize the sound. i will strive to do a lot better next time. The poor audio parts are thankfully small and episodic. So I hope it doesn't take away too much from the experience.

Written & Recorded August, 2021. [TIME SENSITIVE]

Just dropping by to introduce some updates for the channel going forward.  Mainly - new podcast format: Accountable power, a bi-weekly discussion on current affairs and how they interplay with power dynamics.  Secondly a new direction for the YouTube channel, where the videos will be better in quality and length.

The second part of this episode, looking at the Accelerationism movement. Its origins. Its future. Its political praxis. And concluding with its implications on modern discourse.

How far is too far? Is the future dead? Are humans just an organic butterfly creating a mechanical protohuman?

Inspired by Akira, Ghost in a Shell and Neuromancer, I ask, how do cyberpunk societies come into being? What political, social and technological ideologies drive these cyberpunk worlds?

Well, in this first part of a two-parter, I'll be diving into the world of accelerationism, tech-utopias, Nick Land & cyberpunk.
