1955 is a key year in the history of rock music. We trace the recordings of Bill Haley & His Comets, Bo Diddley, Fats Domino and Chuck Berry that year.

We trace the second half of Elvis's music career, from his first films, through his military years, his big 1968 comeback TV special and eventual decline and death at Graceland in 1977 and ask the question...was Elvis the King?

We trace the early years of Elvis Presley's career, from his first recordings at Sun Records through to his first LP with RCA and first television appearance on "Stage Show". We'll also be introduced to Andreas van Kuijk aka "Colonel" Tom Parker.
