In our first in a series of special podcasts for StarTrek.com, we take a journey through time and give you a brief history in Star Trek Gaming!

Following the recent announcement by Craig Zinkevich that he was stepping down as executive producer of Star Trek Online, we contacted the new one, Daniel Stahl and sat down with him for a 30 minute interview to talk about various aspects of the game and ask a number of community submitted questions.

Episode 75 has arrived and its another fun filled, jam packed show.

K'suan'indra gets us up to date on all of the latest Star Trek Gaming News and then later in the show, Mark Ward joins us to talk about the latest developments in the upcoming fan game, Star Trek Excalibur.

Our first interview with Craig Zincevich since the release of Star Trek Online in February, this interview focuses on upcoming new features and includes tonnes of cool information!

Hailing Frequency returns for its first episode since February 2010 and does not disappoint. In this one hour show, we talk about all of the latest Star Trek Online updates that have hit the game since its launch in February, including the Season 1 updates, the upcoming Season 2 updates and beyond.

Later on in the show, we sit down with Griffin Endurance, lead developer of the Freelance Mod for Star Trek Elite Force 1 - a very exciting upcoming mod that promises to add a forking storyline to the game, flight controls, and a full RPG system!

Most excitingly - this edition of Hailing Frequency sees the return of the highly popular and critically acclaimed segment - "Mod Weekly". Mod Weekly is a long-time Hailing Frequency segment that was with the podcast from its roots back in 2005, until late 2008 when the segment presenter, Croesus, retired to focus on his real life work.

Now, the segmenth as been revived by community member and modder - Max Loef. Max has produed mods for a range of Star Trek Games, including Legacy and Bridge Commander. He is also an experienced ship modeller, and is a perfect new host for Mod Weekly!.

Rounding out the show, K'suan'indra brings us the latest Star Trek Gaming News, and we have a fantastic edition of Fleet Radio!

We are very happy to announce that Episode Number 70 of Hailing Frequency is hereby released, recorded to a live audience on Sunday 6th September 2009.

This episode sets both a record and milestone for Hailing Frequency - it is our 100th Audio Production since 2005, meaning we have released a total of 70 full length podcasts and 30 shorter special episodes such as interviews, road reports, etc. This is also possibly the longest episode of Hailing Frequency which will ever occur, running a whopping two hours and ten minutes.

You might be asking yourself - what could they possibly have spent two hours and ten minutes talking about and the answered lies in the fact that we have just had the busiest period of Star Trek Online News - EVER!.

Cryptic Studios attended Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle this weekend, taking with them the first ever publicly playable demo of Star Trek Online and Hailing Frequency (with the help of Tamgros and Vmann from AoA) were there to cover it. We released almost thirty high def photos of Star Trek Online, an 8 minute gameplay video and a 20 minute video interview with Craig Zinkevich.

In addition, information about Star Trek Online was coming from dozens of other sources, so we discuss everything we have learnt over the past two weeks about Star Trek Online in this bumper show.
