Following on from last weeks Clap for the NHS, a new campaign in Hailsham is encouraging residents to clap and make a noise at 8pm on Thursday 2nd April to honour the drivers, supermarket workers, carers, volunteers and other services who are still working during the coronavirus outbreak. https://hailsham.news. NHS psychologists have warned it is likely people will suffer mental health problems during the coronavirus lockdown, and measures should be taken to combat this.

Things like face-to-face contact with friends and family, physical exercise and other routines have been made increasingly difficult or impossible in recent weeks as the UK has tightened restrictions.

To find out what people who may suffer from mental health issues might be able to do to help themselves during the lockdown, Paul Gibson spoke to Sophie Holmes, who is the Deputy Director for Psychology and the Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, who explained  a new initiate being launched to tackle it.
