In this episode I wanted to shed light on the ways in which I use heat on my natural hair. A lot of 'naturalistas' out there are very skeptical when it comes to using heat on their hair, due to the risk and/or possibility of heat damage. Although heat damage is something you will always have to be aware of, I wanted to share with you the ways in which I have safely incorporated heat into my natural hair journey for years without any adverse effects. In my opinion, using heat has actually helped to accelerate my hair growth! If you want to learn how you can use heat to you hairs benefits, then continue to tune into this episode.

In today's show, I decided to bring along my dear friend as a special guest. Her name is Vanessa and she has worked in Corporate America for nearly a decade, while trying to navigate the journey of her natural hair. Although it can be intimidating, her and I had such a great discussion on how to get over the fears and insecurities that come along with wearing your natural hair in the workplace or in public altogether! Vanessa discusses her personal experiences while taking us on the journey that led to her decision to return to natural! Tune in and don't forget to Subscribe, Rate and Review!

In the natural hair community, when we think of protective hair styles, we immediately think of braids, twists, crotchets, wigs, buns and ponytails just to name a few. Typically, protective styles allow the hair to be tucked away for a specific period of time. What if I told you the wash & go can also double as your protective style as well? Join me in my perspective of how the wash & go hairstyle, may or may not meet the criteria of a more non-traditional way of protecting your hair as well.
