The Medieval period is one of the few spaces in history where evidence of tattooing is scarce, but on this episode of Beneath the Skin we are joined by the internet's favourite Medieval historian Dr. Eleanor Janega to help us unpack the inked history of early Christendom. 

Eleanor teaches at the LSE and she specialises in sexuality, apocalypticism, propaganda, and the urban experience.
