This film brings us to Ireland, baby! Tamera Mowry-Housley stars as former orchestra conductor, Gethsemane Brown, who moves to Ireland to teach at a boarding school. After deciphering a musical message from a spooky self-playing piano (or is it?), she meets a renowned composer's ghost who is rumored to be behind the death of his lover and muse. Will Gethsemane solve the case of this infamous murder-suicide while also being able to unite her not-so-pitch-perfect students before their regional competition?
Stay tuned to hear the review of this movie plus some pretty big updates from us!
Don't know what you want to read next? Wanting to read a good book, but not be scared away based on genre or author?
Well, then we've got a concept for you......AND a movie!
Blind Date with a Book Club is a Hallmark movie that showcases a concept many book stores are adopting. Wrapping up a book, giving a brief description of themes, and letting the buyer "discover" a book they might not have ever given the chance!
This movie has a cute bookstore, in a coastal town, with a handsome author all wrapped up together.
Give this episode a listen to see if this movie is a dud or a stud!
This movie had A LOT going on! Sperm donor, a child questioning her identity, a single mom worried about "losing" her daughter, anxiety, abandonment issues, a lack of creative inspiration.......like we said, A LOT going on!
Emily and Sophia dive in to this week's movie choice: Branching Out. This Hallmark movie gave the girls plenty to talk about, dissect, and gush about (namely: some steamy smooching).
Give this episode a listen to find out if you should give this movie a chance yourself!
Well, it finally happened...we found a cringey one, folks! We sort of have an enemies-to-lovers situation but...not quite? The landscape is stunning, the side characters actually have some moments, and the plot is predictable. All that being said, you should still watch it.
It's in the air, fam...CHRISTMAS SPIRIT! We know you want to hear all about this incredibly well done film, and also dip your toes into the Holiday season.
Who doesn't love a Christmas Carol/Everyone-forgets-Christmas/Grump turned Jolly type trope?? We certainly do.
Sophia is back from her big Europe Trip and is ready to share all about it!
Emily and Sophia have so much fun catching up and talking all things Taylor Swift Eras Tour Concert, why dehydration in Europe is a thing, how cold July can be in certain regions, and weird Christmas cats.....
It's all over the place, as usual.
Give this episode a listen to hear all about Europe, Taylor Swift, and traveling via a cruise ship!
If Jane Austen adaptations have no fans, then we're dead, because we CLEARLY choose a Regency era film over most other options these days. Mahogany hit it out of the park with their version of Sense & Sensibilities and we highly recommend!
Happiness for Beginners is a 2023 Netflix movie that gave the girls early 2000s vibes. Fun, uplifting, deep, full of tough challenges, hilarious, and had some tearful moments!
Emily and Sophia dive into this week's movie choice with lots of fun commentary and deep insight.
They all share some WILD stories from their week that you will not want to miss!
What can we say? We love a Regency era setting with questionable plotlines and pretty outfits. Tune in to hear our take on the first film in the Gilded Mysteries series on Hallmark.
Are mysteries becoming a Hallmark Remarks staple? Maybe.....
Emily and Sophia review a new mystery series from Hallmark called Family Practice Mysteries!
This movie covers grief, the existential crisis that is picking between being a cat mom or a dog mom, depression, PTSD, loss, killing rich people, and love.
Should you watch this movie? Well, give this episode a listen to hear if the girls give it a thumbs up....or a thumbs down.
