This is the audition show for Halls of Ivy in which Gale Gordon and actress Edna Best were originally cast as Dr William Todhunter Hall, the Ivy college president and his English Theatre actress wife formerly Victoria Cromwell. The story is the same as the first episode of Halls of Ivy entitled “Reappointment” starring Mr and Ronald Coleman in the title roles. We are all familiar with the Coleman’s as The Halls but Gordon and Best played superb roles. Fantastic!
