Sheldon and Chris have had a great Summer. They watched some films, thought about them and have eaten a variety of cakes. Here they discuss the UHD BFI edition of Rocco and His Brothers, directed by Luchino Visconti and the Radiance Films edition of Iphigenia directed by Michael Cacoyannis.

They talk about different performance styles, a bit about camera angles and they cut out a lot, a lot, of Chris going off on several of tangents about Euripides, Homer, Aristophanes, The Iliad and The Odyssey.

Sheldon and Chris review the BFI edition of the 1961 British movie, Strongroom, much loved by people such as Edgar Wright and Martin Scorsese and the Radiance release of Jean-Pierre Mocky 1970 movie, Solo. Both Sheldon and Chris manage to bring class into the the discussion yet again. Chris briefly mentions car manufacturers and they are clearly envious of the person who got to raid the BFI archives to put together the Strongroom release.

In this episode Sheldon and Chris discuss 2006 Hungarian cult-arthouse-satirical-sort-of-body-horror Taxidermia and Peter Weirs debut feature The Cars That Ate Paris, another cult art-house satire without the body horror and set in Australia. Sheldon and Chris mention some bodily functions that they haven't mentioned before quite rightfully prevents Chris from spending a lot of the discussion getting excited about car manufacturers.

In this Episode Sheldon and Chris discuss The Stunt Man and Knights of the Teutonic Order. Peter O'Toole is in one of them and the other is a Polish historical epic from 1960. Chris appears to be a little jealous of Sheldons new tv.

Sheldon and Chris review the new Radiance release of the 1969 Robert Bresson film, Une Femme Douce. They also review IVY (1947), an American crime drama starring Joan Fontaine, directed by Sam Wood. (They review the Imprint edition, but there is also a new edition on Indicator in the UK)

There's talk about all sorts of things, like the musical motif for poison, the influence of Bresson on, well everyone, and once again Chris manages to bring class into his interpretation.

Sheldon and Chris discuss the Radiance Films release of Le Notti Bianche and the BFI release of Nosferatu the Vampyre.

There is some mention of Sheldons brand new TV and Chris regrets watching a release of a related movie. (He says he's learnt his lesson but he probably hasn't).
