Sticking with the location theme were gonna trek across the grand ole' USA to our west coast neighbors and serve up some Cali to Washington gold and of course we cant forget those great environmental leaders of Oregon stuck in middle.

I recently made a cool Lego video with my son Tyler, featuring (TOP by HOONCH), in order to support the show with new avenues to promote the HALSHACK.

The west coast of the USA is a busy place with many fantastic sights and sounds to enjoy while you soak up those California rays. There are many avenues of styles of music to traverse off the Gold Coast. You cant go too far without running into a famous star or band in SoCal and one day these great Halshack acts will be sharing that musical high life as well with the golden state song warriors.

The Pacific northwest has become a hub of techno jargon and silicon landscaping but Seattle rock still exists and going strong in Wash and Oregon among all the Yahoos and Micronauts running around!...lol

Who said anything about traveling all those roads and highways of the west coast to hear a bunch of great outstanding bands and artists. Look no further but the Halsahck. Ive done all the leg work for you! Ive just about not heard any better indie/unsigned acts hailing from the tri-state area! Were you guys hit with the "musicanator"? (any one who watches Phineas and Pherb cartoon will get that joke..lol)

Long live Perry the Platypus...lol and long live the Halshack so these bands will have their chance at a bright sunny future living and loving life under the sunny rays of the west coast USA!!

Narrow Plains, rising popular band from the UK won a prestigious contest to come to the USA 4 years ago and work with famed producer John Davenport (John Mellancamp, John Lennon are just a few of his credits). While they were here I got the pleasure of having a beer and some laughs with Charlie, Roger and Stuart. Great guys and outstanding gentlemen. Glad to have them as part of my camp of quality artists from around the world!

Battleshack 2 results show Ep. 17 is just around the corner so I thought since PODOMATIC expanded my space I would give you folks a chance to hear this cool episode and download it.

This was the results show for the Battleshack 1 released on Oct 15, 2017! Check out the show and listen as we countdown the most popular acts from our first group of about 35 to 40 acts from our first 3 years in operation!

I will admit my audio is rough, hence the re-boot with new audio equipment and new bands for Ep 11 Jan 2018!!

Go check out the early roots of the show. It had its charm but greener pastures were ahead for the HALSHACK!!

This was another show I had to take down from the servers. Now my capacity has doubled I can re-upload this to my feed.

This show got little publicity and has had the least amount of plays due to its release date. I put this out at Christmas 2018 so people could have fun around the campfire or a New Years party. Its a great chill show with lots of indie flavors and styles to burn the night away under the starry skies while lighting up the night with fun tunes.

NARROW PLAINS, what an outstanding acoustic trio from London, UK. They won a contest to come to America to North Carolina and worked with famed producer John Davenport and even had an interview with me and I got to see them play out a show at the Blind Tiger in Greensboro, NC.

These chaps have had their music featured on BBC radio all over the UK and are steadily growing their base at about 70k strong! I'm proud to know these good gents and look forward to more quality tunes from these wooden wind pipes of England.

Sooooo....they are back. The eclectic boys from Malta. Airport Impressions has to be one of the most diverse, most original bands Ive ever heard. Errol Sammet, lead singer, can reach wondrous heights and breathtaking lows as he and his band of cronies take you on a journey of sights and sounds while they whisk you way to the busy streets of Berlin or the sunny skies of Ballymena. They are one awesome band and I for one stand behind them all the way...

I was included in the EPK to help this band get noticed by SONY!!! Very cool. Glad I could help.

SONY has recently partnered with these fellas on (Orchard) distribution deal with their new song "Faith" which we will hear SOOOOONNNN..lol on a new episode of the HALSHACK coming in August...(thinking its gonna be in a SPOTIFY exclusive)

Home is the where the heart is what they always say! Well, I'm puttin' the focus on NC and SC best talent. I been stompin' my feet all around the Carolinas all my life and especially the last few years looking far and wide for those Ace level acts who can represent the south with pride and dignity and show the world we got what it takes here in the Tarheel and Palmetto states to be a major player in the music industry.

Ive got a newspaper article coming out soon in support of this episode. Antoinette Kerr, freelance writer for the Lexington Dispatch is working on a nice piece for the Halshack. Thank you so much to the good folks at the newspaper.

Were featuring some awesome talent from all over our stateS with an alt vault to start then a pop stop and then a rock block and so forth. All great music. No 4-corded pop music here, real musicians and singer song writers from all across our 2 states representing the finest of their genre. Folk/Americana, pop, rock, alt, and indie is all on display here for people minds hearts and ears to enjoy.

Hoping a fair amount of these bands and artists will be able to attend our (CAROLINA SHACKFEST) in High Point, NC at AFTER HOURS on N Main. St. in mid-November (if we have one..whole event is still TBA) We will keep you posted on the website and the shows. I will know more by Ep 17 BATTLESHACK 2 release in the fall.

Ok Im in a giving mood!! Surprise!! Its a mystery show for our mystery spotlights. Its a mystery because I didnt plan this it just fell in my lap as I am planning the Carolina shows (TBA) Ive learned there's too much fate wrapped around my show and a huge story I will share with all my fans and friends sometime. Im learning Im not in control of my show. It gives me cues when and where to do stuff..lol..I just listen and say yes sir were gonna do that...LOLOLOL..(seriously)

So while I'm simmering the Carolina heat and our southeast neighbors for 16 and 16.5 get a taste of a couple Carolina acts Spank and Triton who made the spotlights so special early on in the show and get acquainted with some eccentric eclectic groups from all walks of life. Its a mystery show for our mystery elite acts from ep 1-15!

July is a great time to travel to the mountains or the beach. This is an awesome playlist to take for the car ride or chillin' and relaxin' under the sun!

I have been listening to a fair amount of well-known indie playlists that were "good" or just OK, but not "GREAT" I look for STANDOUTS and I was left feeling less than inspired by these BIG lists with hundreds of thousands of subscribers or millions of plays on You Tube and Spotify.

They just dont have access to or the knowledge of the music I have. Exclusive bands and little no names artists that could rock the music world whether it be pickin' a banjo or throwin' down in a club or jamming on an axe laden guitar. Halshack can spin up any genre at the top of the game!

You're sure to get your fix of excellent Americana folk/indie acts here from all over the world! The best indie/unsigned talent there is, its even better than BIG radio music!

Be sure to "Say Hello" to "Mariette" as we sit around the campfire and enjoy the "Burn Pile" one last time and catch this little indie show while you bask up the summer sun. There will be some hot heat coming from the Carolinas as we heat things up later this summer with our very own "on fire" quality artists from right here at home.
