In 2014, Hamilton Perkins founded Hamilton Perkins Collection, an independent brand, designing and producing unique and award winning bags and accessories from recycled materials.

Hamilton Perkins Collection exists to create timeless limited edition bags made from recycled plastic water bottles, pineapple leaf fiber, and billboard vinyl. The result is that no two bags are ever the same.

Our first design, the Earth Bag Premium, was created so that our customers would not only carry a bag that was stylish but carry a bag they could be proud of.  We surveyed more than 1,000 consumers to obtain their thoughts and feedback for each component of the Earth Bag Premium, which soon became one of our most popular designs.

Perkins was the winner of the Virginia Velocity Tour hosted by the Governor of Virginia, and the recipient of a HUD Community Development Block Grant. The non-profit B Lab honored Hamilton Perkins Collection as a "Best for the World Overall" B Corporation in 2017.

TechArk founder and CEO, Pratik Kothari came to America with a small loan and a big dream. After graduating from Old Dominion University with a Master’s degree in Computer Science, he worked hard to become Chief Technology Officer at a local Virginia Beach company. Alec Yuzhbabenko is an Associate Design Principal with Hanbury Architects who challenges the status-quo with innovative and socially sustainable ideas. Alec’s passion and creativity has received recognition on a regional and national level. His work has won awards from the AIA Hampton Roads, HRACRE, the Branch Museum, and has been featured in an AIA National exhibit. Alec has been noted for his collaborative spirit and constant pursuit for challenge and excellence in articles and press interviews.

Cheryl Tan is the founder and CEO of Cheryl Tan Media, a coaching, consulting and video marketing company based in Virginia Beach. Cheryl believes everyone has a story to tell. Her company's mission is to help entrepreneurs, nonprofit organizations and corporations tell those stories more effectively on video so they can create a greater impact within their communities.

Prior to starting her company in 2014, Cheryl was a broadcast journalist, working for TV stations in Georgia and Virginia. You may remember her during her time on WAVY TV 10's morning show. She currently hosts Connect on WVEC-TV. In her 20-year career in television news, she had the honor of telling thousands of stories for a TV audience. Now she shares the skills she learned in the newsroom to help businesses and organizations around the country understand the media and create their own pieces of valuable content.

Hi, I’m Kaycee McCoy, a digital marketing & branding expert based in Norfolk, Virginia.

The entrepreneurial spirit runs through my veins.  My parents were successful small business owners, but they ran blue collar companies like crude oil drilling and rock hauling.  Growing up in that environment gave me a unique perspective on life; the moral of the story is that entrepreneurship was the norm and I’ve had a penchant for small business my entire life.  At the ripe age of 5 years old I was happily answering the business phone and talking on the CB Radio to our truck drivers.  And while most kids were babysitting or running lemonade stands in middle school, I was carefully crafting greeting cards and creating bracelet companies.  Small business life is a part of my DNA: it’s who I am.

There is no greater privilege in my professional life than to team up with aspiring entrepreneurs, solopreneurs and small business owners of all kinds to make their business ventures come to life through captivating marketing services and campaigns.

I am a recent graduate from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts for Graphic Design.  I received the HOPE Scholarship all four years and won the Student Silver ADDY Award in February of 2018 for my senior group project:  Georgia’s History in 50 Objects, Georgia Southern University Museum Exhibition.

Savannah Bolin serves as the Hampton Roads Regional Director for Gather; a leader in Professional Coworking in Virginia. Savannah will lead Gather’s expansion into Hampton Roads, beginning with its 30,000 square foot location at 500 East Main Street, Norfolk, Virginia to open in June 2019 with additional locations planned for the region.

Savannah was born and raised in Newport News, a graduate of James Madison University and is a current resident of Downtown Norfolk. She is passionate about her community and the economic growth and development of Hampton Roads. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in community engagement, event planning, fundraising and management.

Savannah serves on the Board of Directors for tHRive, the Young Professionals program of the Hampton Roads Chamber and is a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) in Virginia Beach advocating for our country’s most vulnerable children. Outside of work, Savannah enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and giving back to her community in ways that are meaningful to her.
