God has called us to grow our relationship with Him! That doesn’t happen by accident though, and it takes all of God’s help. So how do we grow walk with Jesus? Join us this Sabbath morning as we look into the life of someone from the bible who did it part-way through his life, and leaves us a great example.

Pr Michael Falzarano will be sharing a message with us this Sabbath called Jesus Is In The BoatThe disciples were in the heart of the Sea of Galilee when a raging storm came upon them. Their response to it was fear, not faith. Likewise, we face a growing storm as we get closer to Jesus’ return. What can we learn from the disciples’ experience, so our response is faith and not fear?

Pr Jerry has a sermon called A Case of the Twisties: The True Purpose of the Signs of the Times. Are the Signs of the Times that we find in Matthew 24 and 2 Timothy 3 merely to tell us that the Kingdom of God is near or are they in fact, to remind us as followers of Jesus Christ, that the Kingdom of God is already here? This is a message that is very relevant for the times we are living in, and we are sure you will be blessed by the message!

Rowan Jones will be sharing a message on how God's wisdom from the bible can help us in times like we are living today.We have never been promised an easy life on this earth, in fact quite the opposite. In life we will always face decisions, sometimes really hard decisions. Where can we turn to in such times? Calling upon God's wisdom is the best place to start. Join with us as we look at God's wisdom in His word.

We have come to the end of our series Blooming in the Boom of Babylon and this Sabbath Pr Jeremy will be sharing our final message called The Roots of Two Cursed Trees, we will be looking at an overview of the final chapters of the Book of Daniel as well as looking at two trees that Christ encountered on his last week on earth and how these encounters are very pertinent to our faith as we continue to bloom and thrive in a world that is full of confusion. Alan Fletcher will be sharing another message with us. This Sabbaths message is called It matters until it doesn’t…and it doesn’t until it does looking into Daniel 9 part 10 of our Booming in the Bloom of Babylon series.

 

Daniel sees only a handful of Jews willing to return after the exile, while many are too comfortable where they are, and he wonders what really matters to them? God’s message is to look ahead at what happens when the things that should matter don’t. Daniel unlocks the key of knowing about God’s period of grace that is given to the Jews before they lose what matters to them. 

And after 2300 years of extended grace, what is happening now?

Are we ready to go home? Or is it too comfortable here?

Do we really know what matters?

Daniel’s prayer is the key. A prayer we need to be willing to pray ourselves.

In Daniel 8 we will dig past the empires and kingdoms and get to the hard question that had left Daniel sick and distressed at the end of Daniel 7.

Just on 2300 years after Alexander the Great a friend and I drove across his entire kingdom, from Pakistan into Europe and there isn’t much left to see apart from some ruins, sand, deserts and empty wastelands.

So why does Daniel write about these transient kingdoms? What is the real issue God is trying to reveal to Daniel, and why does it leave him even more depressed and concerned at the end of the vision?

If his world was in chaos, how did he survive with his faith intact? And how do we find the same faith and courage in our current world of chaos, lock-downs, mandates and social polarization?

Maybe the real title should be : Where is God in all this chaos?
