It was just haphazard that Dominique and I (LaurieAnn) started chatting on Facebook, which moved on to a ZOOM chat, and then Roy called and we asked if he wanted to join us.  From there we decided to do a podcast on what we were talking about.  Online dating.

We chat about some of the people we have known that have been victims, including one of our guests who spoke to it, and to the fake profiles, and how shrewd the online dating scams are becoming.

What a lovely conversation with Elizabeth.  Elizabeth's interest in intuitive eating started with her own journey of being a chronic dieter.  She realized it was exhausting and while looking to "get out of the box" she found intuitive eating and she loved it so much, she pursued a career in helping others learn about it.

Her counselling goes beyond just food.  It encompasses helping her clients to see beyond in ways where they further explore their needs. 

We cannot make our bodies into what they are not, and this awareness is important in the journey towards paying attention to what the body is telling you, and how to listen to it. 

She aims to bring awareness to what feels good in the body, to get intuned from the inside out.  She brings awaress to the judgement around things and how we make everything "bad or wrong" instead of just being "open and curious".  You need to find what feels good.

Erica is a registered nurse, a trauma nurse who eventually moved over to being a case manager and worked in nursing for 8 years.  During that time she was exposed to many medical traumas which is expected in the field, however what she really became aware of was the elevated stress amongst nurses, which led some to burnout.

With this Erica moved on to be a Health and Mindset Coach assisting those in the health care industry to overcome burnout as well as to avoid burnout for those who are showing signs of heading there.  She said that when nurses are heading to burnout, they are not able to provide the quality of service required because they are not taking care of themselves and it can go as far as losing interest.  

It's not unusual for nurses to "over-please" in their jobs, and take on too much.  Although student nurses are matched with a mentor, some of whom do advise of the need to make sure to take their breaks, to take time for themselves, specific training to ensure a proper work/life balance is not available.  This is what Erica focusses on.
