Aiona Luaton currently lives in Spain, which is arguably one of the most hit countries in Europe. We talked about how she's been dealing with the pandemic there and her thoughts on the unsuccessful Britain-Spain travel bubble that saw a spike in cases in the UK.

Mark Beltran i's a dual citizen who was caught up in the middle of the pandemic while he was still in the US. Because of his studies, he had to come back to the Philippines, and in the process, contracted the virus during his flight. He shared to me his harrowing experience as well as his thoughts on how the aviation sector might recover.

Travelling is one of those things we usually take for granted. We travel all the time: we travel to work, we travel to school, we travel to go places, both domestically and overseas. But given the COVID situation we are in, travelling has been limited by majority of the world’s governments to essential travelling. That means people in certain areas can only travel to go to work, to the supermarket or pharmacy, or to any other place where they can buy things they absolutely need; and I don’t mean that Starbucks latte you’re going to post on Instagram. This limited movement is done to limit the spread of community transmissions here in the Philippines. So when can we actually next? That’s the question I asked my friend, avid traveler, and Hey, Sizt! Podcast host Rica Rivera.

It seems that we haven’t had a night out in ages since the lockdown restrictions were imposed in March. And sadly, due to a lack of business as a result of the COVID pandemic, some bars have shut down as it would not be financially feasible for them to continue operating. This affects most of us who have seen local favourites close down as we have had so much memories in those places. But this also affects musicians as this would mean that they have one less venue to perform in when they are able to do so safely. Rapper Poligrafo, R&B artist Lilfina, and Cottonfields’ guitarist John Adiao joined me to discuss how the pandemic affected the local night scene and their careers as musicians.
