Agriculture is the foundation from which iDE was built. Growing on the sale of 1.5 million treadle pumps to small farmers in Bangladesh, we knew we were on to something. Today, we are bringing our unique approach to thousands of small farmers in Africa, Central America, and Asia. on all levels of the value chain - starting at the source with smart technology, such as drip irrigation and solar pumps, to support networks through farm business advisors and local manufacturers.

Our WASH program is expanding within countries and across the globe. From water filters to home toilets, we are working with thousands of households to improve health and grow income.

iDE’s Global WASH Initiative builds markets for products that have the potential to transform people’s health by preventing diarrheal-related disease. We work with businesses to produce and sell clean water filters, latrines, and hand washing devices that are affordable and desirable to poor rural customers.
