Maria created The Aperitivo Society after her first year living in Boston as a way to meet new people an expand her community while doing what she loves - hosting, cooking and pouring people a drink.

"My grandfather always said that the best way to get to know someone was to sit around the table and open up a bottle of wine. I was raised Italian (on my father's side) and Irish/Croatian (on my mother's side) - the desire to host and bring people together over food and drinks is part of my DNA.

Thanks to a TikTok, this community grew to almost 700 members overnight. I quickly learned that I was not the only one craving this kind of experience and community in the Boston area. We now offer tables in several of Boston's neighborhoods, ranging in ticket price and menu offerings. Each host is carefully selected to ensure that each person receives a unique, nourishing, and seamless dining experience."
