Suffering comes from resisting pain, refusing to accept it, thinking it will go away,
But that just makes it worse and leaves you completely unprepared and weak,
You’ll lose all your defenses and will further crumble when life refuses to obey,
But if you can learn to accept the crashing waves, you’ll find the strength you seek.

Ep. 419 - Happy Acceptance
We begin as always
with the Happy Creed.
We believe in Happy,
in Balance and Growth,
of being Mindful and Grateful,
Compassionate and Understanding.

Acceptance isn’t the same as giving up,
Just ‘cause life has pain doesn’t mean you quit,
Use that pain to temper your steel,
Toughen you up and let you heal,
‘Cause acceptance isn’t the same as giving up.
Ever feel drained, bruised, battered, mistreated, abused and taken advantage of?
Well, you’re not alone, but you survived it, and perhaps you’re surviving it still,
And you don’t know why life is being so mean when all you ever wanted was love,
So, you fight ‘cause you think to win you need to be the one with the strongest will.
But if you see everything as a conflict, then every interaction becomes a war,
Every setback is a battle cry, every mishap a landmine, and everyone a foe,
But if you can accept that we’re all just trying to survive lives we never signed up for,
Then acceptance becomes an act of strength--don't give up, just go with the flow.
