Happy Ending

Happy Ending

They say ease up with your flacks, man you’ve got to relax

 Take a breath and be

chill, if it’s meant then it will

Come to fruition, but it’s straining this condition

Hits me like a drill in my head and I spill

Out comes the ignorance, reeks of abhorrence,

Words to inflame, cause harm and maim

Thoughtless barrages, insecure collages,

Wonder not from where it came, we’re trapped in some evil game

Somewhere there’s a happy ending, somewhere there’s a golden

goose

Close my eyes there’s a wish I’m sending, tomorrow finds us

free of abuse

Standing tall beside a happy ending, with a basket of eggs

from the golden goose

So, I figure then maybe silence is golden, there’s a vision

I want to be holdin’

I got to stop all the wailing, crazy babble arms flailing

Chillin ain’t really all that bad, cause you know one day

you’ll be glad,

Dream about it as you’re foldin’, laundry thinking nights

are cold and

Why do you want sulk and cowl? Say I quit and toss in the

towel?

Pain is not exclusive to your heart, but she’s been dreaming

since the start

Reassure her and embolden, offer praise and support not

scoldin’

Wrap memories of joyful screams, around all of your nightly

dreams

Remember how empty my heart was till you strolled in? When

you snuggle up with me silence is golden

Somewhere there’s a happy ending, somewhere there’s a golden

goose

Close my eyes there’s a wish I’m sending, tomorrow finds us

free of abuse

Standing tall beside a happy ending, with a basket of eggs

from the golden goose

And the love of my life under my arm
