Reverend Dr. Anthony J. Cook has served as the pastor of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Honolulu, Hawaii, for five years. He is a Retired Lieutenant Colonel Chaplain from the United States Army after over 33 years of service. His pastoral experience includes being the founding pastor of Divine Community Outreach Ministry Inc. and a Veteran Administration Chaplain in Honolulu, Hawaii. Reverend. Cook served as Pastor for multiple United States Army Chapels in various locations. In Durham, North Carolina, he served as Youth Pastor at West Durham Baptist Church. He also ministered at Zion Travelers Missionary Baptist Church in St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Cook strongly believes in self-development through education and training. He earned a Bachelor of Arts, in Criminal Justice, from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1993, a Master of Science in Human Resource Development from Webster University in 1997, a Master of Teaching from Webster University in 2002, a Master of Divinity from Shaw University Divinity School, in 2004, a Doctor of Ministry, from Interdenominational Theological Center Morehouse School of Religion, in 2011. He was licensed as a gospel minister in 2000 at Zion Travelers Missionary Baptist Church, St. Louis, Missouri, and ordained in 2004 at West Durham Baptist Church in Durham, North Carolina.
Dr. Cook is the President and Founder of Divine Connection Inc. a non-profit organization which he launched March 29, 2022. Divine Connection’s mission is to reach across the globe with a mission to spread the message of the Kingdom of God through various media channels such as television, radio, podcasts, and social media. There are a range of products offered including inspirational books, promotional t-shirts, caps, and cups, each designed to foster hope and faith.
Dr. Cook is the author of Rooted in Faith Overcoming Our Trauma and Pain. His book was written to encourage those grappling with unrelieved pain, unhealed wounds, and untreated trauma to rise above their pain, wounds, and trauma. The book is a testimony to the enduring power of the human spirit, a beacon of hope in the darkest of nights, and a guiding light for all those looking to navigate the maze of trauma with unwavering faith.
