Meet the three Female Officers of the Kaysville Police Department: Sgt. Lacy Turner, Officer Lexi Benson, and Police Academy Student Noelia Sarmiento. Noelia will join the Kaysville Police Department full-time upon graduation.

Sgt. Turner and Officer Benson are both dedicated officers who've committed their lives to Public Safety and Service. Sgt. Turner has received the First Responder Award, Law Enforcement Hero Award, D.A.R.E. Program Officer, and School Resource Officer,  She started "Cops Love Lemonade" which is a program that encourages the city youth to invite the Police to Lemonade Stands throughout the State these are just a few of her many contributions to the KPD. 

Officer Benson is the Community Policing Officer and the Department Public Information Officer. She created the "Kaysville Cash" Program during COVID-19 to support Kaysville Small Businesses.  She's a Certificate of Merit recipient and has received many awards for her outstanding accomplishments in Kaysville City. 

Noelia has always wanted to be a Police Officer and begins as a full-time student at the Police Academy next week.

Angie Tingey is an immigrant, small business owner, and dedicated community volunteer. During Covid she returned to school and graduated with her Master Esthetician's license. Rachel Kendell is an artisan. As a life-long-learner she has many talents and interests. Paul is a retired Urban Planner. He is now serving on the Kaysville Planning Commission. Paul shares his experience and opinions about growth, density and development. 

Paul Allred is a Kaysville resident and the newest alternate to the Kaysville Planning Commission.  in this interview he shares his professional experience and insights into city planning and what he envisions for Kaysville City moving forward. 

Tami Tran interviews:  Dallas Hamblin, owner of Kaysville Creamery and Jennifer Tran, owner of Nikko Sushi.   

Dallas is a small business owner, after achieving success with several other businesses (financial planning and insurance), he decided to open an ice cream store in the perfect location on the corner of Kaysville's Historic Main Street Street.  This corner was the home of the original Barnes Bank and most recently All State Insurance.  Dallas has renovated the space and created a beautiful new store. He wants his customers to enjoy delicious ice cream from the BYU Creamery and have a great experience as they interact and mingle with customers and employees.

Jennifer Tran grew up in the restaurant business, her parents owned a restaurant so she learned firsthand how to manage and run a successful business. She's a master social media marketer and has created quite a buzz for Nikko Sushi.  She wants their restaurant to be a gathering place for friends and families to enjoy.  Along with their incredible food, they offer activities for children and adults. Karaoke, Coloring, Bingo just to name a few of the events they offer on a weekly basis for customers eating dinner and spending quality time with their families.

Episode 1 2022 Happy Grateful Blessed: Introduction to my re-branded podcast, Happy Grateful Blessed. I just started my new term as Mayor of Kaysville Utah. This podcast will introduce the podcast and direction moving forward. I'll share news about Kaysville City, introduce listeners to Kaysville Businesses and Kaysville Residents, and include things I'm learning along the way.

In this episode, Rachel, Carson's mom explains what it's like to care for a child with disabilities, and shares lessons she's learned as she's found herself through her special son. 

When Carson was 16 months old, he was diagnosed with a very rare form of Congenital Muscular Dystrophy -Muscle Eye Brain Disease (MEB). It's an inherited disease.

There are only between 15-20 diagnosed cases of MEB in North America. It's that rare.

MEB causes Severe Migraines/Headaches, Depression, Muscle weakness, vision abnormalities, brain structure abnormalities, severe intellectual disabilities. There's no cure.  Carson can't walk or speak.  He's learned to say Maam to call for his Mother, and imitate certain sounds to communicate. 

Carson is 15 years old, he has a great sense of humor and loves to laugh. His favorite song is "Splish-Splash I was taking a bath." He's protected and loved by the family dogs and adored by his classmates in school and treasured by his family at home. 

In her spare time, Rachel works as a substitute teacher. She loves the children she teaches as she brings to the classroom a special ability to notice the children that need extra love and support. 

Payton Hampton: Hot Shot Firefighter, Law Student, Husband and soon to be Father. He shares lessons learned from working on his grandpa's farm, and insights into relationships and responsibility.
